Exercise sound judgment when reviewing previous cytogenetic results and correlating them with current findings to detect clinical status change from previous results.
Distinguish between normal and abnormal case results
Follow lab procedures on specimen processing and handling, testing, analyzing, reporting
Maintain complete and accurate records of all testing performed on-site
In-depth knowledge of laboratory techniques, scientific principles, quality control documentation and equipment maintenance.
Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results
